Black Rock Mountain

Nice easy hike up a peak close to Calgary, good for early or late season outing

•Height 2462m or 8078ft / Height gain 900m or 2952ft

•Time: 12:00 - 18:30 with an hour lunch-break on top

•Difficulty: Easy

•Access: HWY 1A from Calgary/Cochrane to the West, HWY 40 FTR North to Bar-Cee Ranch (25 km North of HWY 1A), West on Ghost River Road for another 15 km to the "Big Hill". If driving 4 or all wheel drive one can go down the hill and drive through the river bed closer to the mountain. Trail starts from the river and goes all the way to the top/look-out
