This once-major artery connects Squamish to Indian Arm. According to the MOF website, the road "is impassable near the mountain pass between the Stawamus and Indian River watersheds, located approximately 10.5km to 12km from the junction of the Mamquam FSR."
Bulletins
The road as shown on the map is incorrect -- the main road takes the east side of Indian River from the saddle and crosses to the southwest side 2 km from there.
The barrier is at 49° 38.456'N 123° 1.517'W where the creek crosses the road. It consists of two levels of 1 meter concrete stacking blocks, followed by more blocks, and a creek crossing. It's impassible to all but dirt bikes, and then only if you're very resourceful.
There is a narrow, older road that leaves the saddle area on the south side as the map suggests, but it's almost impassible except to very high clearance vehicles. This road seems to follow the power lines.
